Originally drawn by Remco Polman in 1994 and first published online in English on December 18, 2000.
This strip and the next 9 were drawn between 1994 and 1996 by the very talented Remco Polman, and published in the fanzines Iris and Impuls. In the Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan timeline, they take place in the year 995.
One bit of extra background: at the time the story was written, a lot of property including about half of the bars in the fine city of Groningen, NL were owned by the Oranjeboom brewery, who used this advantage to force city-dwellers to drink their terrible, fizzy, chemical-tasting beer. In the dialogue, I have translated "Oranjeboom" as "Dogwhat" but I have left any text that appears inside the drawings as it was, so you can still see a sign reading "Oranjeboom", as well as several sound effects in Dutch.
Remco Polman now works at animation company Mooves and has a strip in Eppo.
